We have a 2005 Nissan Murano and have recently started having problems with the front passenger door lock. We have found that the passenger door must be manually locked or the hatch won't lock when we hit the remote. None of the other doors are affected. Has anyone else had trouble with this? I don't see how they could be connected. Also, the dealer quoted us $600 to fix the problem. I heard you can fix the motors yourself by ordering the parts. Is this true?

That cost sounds quite high if it's just a problem with the motors or servos. And if there's a major problem, I'm surprised this isn't a factory issue. I would almost thing that raising a bit of heck with the dealer might be worth it to try to get the price down. The car's only 4 years old and there's that major an issue? Reply back if you have any resolution to this issue or come up with any other information...
