2009 Mercedes CLS550 Review The 2009 Mercedes CLS550 Coupe has inspired a number of pseudo-coupe imitators with a sleek profile concealing the presence of four doors. With a 507 hp V8 under the hood, the CLS63 AMG is equally impressive inside, featuring multi-contour front seats with adjustable side bolsters and lumbar supports, rich perforated Nappa leather upholstery and manual shift paddles.The CLS550 is an executive sedan based on the E-Class the CLS is six inches longer than the E-Class and slots in between the E-Class and the S-Class. The CLS-Class was created to combine the strong, emotive charisma of a coupe with the comfort and practicality of a sedan. The popularity of the CLS550 and CLS63 AMG has confirmed the Mercedes vision.The arched roof, athletic stance and high shoulder lines of the CLS550 Coupe combine for a most powerful expression, even at rest.
