Intro

This is 1975 BMW 2002 finished in red over black upholstery and powered by a 2.0-liter M10 inline-four-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed Getrag manual transmission. Additional service since 2021 has included installing lowering springs and replacing the shocks, bushings, exhaust, intake manifold gasket, battery, and fuel pump. Originally purchased in 2021, this BMW 2002 is now offered with partial service records, a spare set of wheels, a spare steering wheel, a spare dashboard, and a clean California title.

Exterior

The car was refinished in its current shade of red in the 2000s. It is equipped with dual side mirrors, pop-out rear windows, and chrome trim. Alpina-style 13? wheels were refinished in bronze in 2023 and are mounted with 185/70 Kumho Solus Ta11 tires. Suspension work in 2023 included installing lowering springs and replacing the shocks, axle boots, control arm bushings, and rear subframe bushings.

Interior

The seating surfaces are upholstered in black vinyl. The headliner was replaced in 2023, and a carpet dash cover is fitted. The radio does not work, the dash has cracks, the heater is disconnected, and the air conditioning is disconnected. A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 13k miles.

Mechanicals

Additional service since 2021 has included installing lowering springs and replacing the shocks, bushings, exhaust, intake manifold gasket, battery, and fuel pump. The 2.0-liter M10 inline-four was fitted with a Weber carburetor in 2021, and additional service since 2021 has included replacing the exhaust manifold gasket, fuel pump, fuel hoses, battery, exhaust system, and spark plugs. The smog equipment has been removed from the car. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a 5-speed Getrag manual transmission that was installed in 2023. The input shaft bearing, seal, and speedometer cable were replaced in October 2023. The center support bearing was replaced in 2021.
